The current TCM Review Seminars instructors passed their board exams on their first try, making them uniquely qualified to create and teach classes that are essential for preparing you to pass your exam.

Bina Jangda, L.Ac.
Bina Jangda, L.Ac.President | Foundations, Diagnosis, Acupuncture, CA Herbology
Bina is an LAc., the President of TCM Review Seminars, and an instructor at the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley. She is the author of The Clinical Handbook of Oriental Medicine, a complete reference guide for Chinese medicine. Bina has lived in Korea, Thailand and Amsterdam, teaching yoga and ESL. She has a private practice in Berkeley and is passionate about her practice and teaching.

Dr. Ibby Omole ND, MSA
Dr. Ibby Omole ND, MSABiomedicine
Ibby is a licensed naturopathic physician based in New Westminster, BC. She also holds a Master of Science in Acupuncture from Bastyr University and finished her acupuncture program at Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She is currently a clinical core faculty member at Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine where she teaches clinical diagnosis courses and advanced courses in TCM and Naturopathic medicine.

When she is not teaching she can be found in the great Pacific Northwest hiking with her family or traveling the globe.

Jared Van Der Beek, L.Ac., PT

Jared received his Masters degree from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and additionally a degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Vermont. Jared is an LAc. in the state of California, and serves on both the California Acupuncture Board and the National Acupuncture Board. Jared conducts a private practice in San Francisco called Physiopuncture, where he combines the modalities of Physical Therapy and Acupuncture. Having also earned a certification in Integrative Manual Therapy, he has taught nationally and internationally for over 10 years, developing a seminar company called Coastal Seminar where he teaches Manual Therapy Essentials. Jared has been teaching for TCM Review Seminars since 2010.

Sonia F. Tan, DAOM, R.Ac., R.TCM.P., is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, a Registered Acupuncturist, and a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Practitioner. Sonia obtained her clinical research Doctorate degree from Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Los Angeles, California, and was the recipient of the DAOM Distinction Award (for excellence in clinical research and clinical didactic work). This doctorate specialized in Integrative Medicine in Healthy Aging and Longevity. She is also a graduate of the five year Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine program from the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Vancouver. During her studies, Sonia interned at the Anhui University of Traditional Chinese Medicine – The Second Affiliate Hospital. Sonia teaches part-time at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine and with TCM Review Canada. Sonia began her career in health with a Bachelor’s degree in Honors Kinesiology, with a specialization in Athletic Injuries, from the University of Western Ontario. After her degree, Sonia worked as a Physiotherapy Assistant & Clinical Trial Coordinator at a sports medicine clinic. Sonia thoroughly enjoys educating and inspiring about all things Acupuncture and TCM!

Ali Jopp, R.TCMP, graduated as valedictorian of the Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Program from Pacific Rim College in 2015 and is a registered TCMP practicing in Victoria, BC. She deeply immerses herself in the study of Chinese Medicine- theory, practice, method, history and cultural context – in order to enrich her understanding. She has been privately tutoring students in TCM for nearly two years; her students have said that she is able to contextualize information, distill complex ideas into easy to understand information, and empower students in their capacity to understand and practice TCM.
